Warm hands, warm hearts! Our Schurz Tiger Cave distributes supplies in an accessible and safe environment to students that are homeless or in need; it is a safe and supportive place to help students quickly, fostering success as well as creating a caring environment at the school. With the support of the Tiger Cave, Schurz students are able to refocus their energy on learning rather than on meeting their basic needs. The Cave is asking for warm waterproof gloves, snow pants and boots for our students. With temperatures rarely reaching over 30 degrees for months at a time, many of our students are in need of thick winter clothing to help them stay dry and warm. This will allow for our students to be readily prepared for our students to take outside breaks.
