In order for a student to be successful in learning music, they must have a high quality instrument to play which will limit repair costs and ultimately student frustration. By providing them with a great horn, they are more likely to be motivated to work hard and keep practicing which is directly tied to their eventual success. My mission at Newbury Park is to use music as a way to build better humans and the science bears this out. Kids that study music are more focused, more disciplined, and more resilient. Whether they continue playing beyond high school or not is irrelevant. The formative experience of learning how to play an instrument and work well with other human beings will set them up for success in life!

About my class
