These alternate seating options will help students who need to wiggle or move to do so without disrupting their classmates. Many kids have difficulty sitting in a chair throughout the entire school day. These students end up focusing on how uncomfortable they are or how much they want to move instead of being able to focus on the lesson or the learning that is happening. One of my favorite sayings is: Fair isn't everyone getting the same thing, fair is everyone getting what they need to be successful. We should be doing anything we can to make sure that our wiggly students are getting what they need to be successful.
