My third-grade class is one of the lucky classes that had the opportunity to be in coding classes since kindergarten. They have a good foundation on concepts and practices in coding using the 9 Dots platform. However, they have not been able to experience on how a piece of robotics works. Robotics makes coding tangible and concrete. With these robotic cubes my students would have the opportunity to connect their knowledge of coding to robotics. I will be guiding my students through the lesson “Robots and Sensing”. The students would gain the knowledge on Cubelets and robotic behavior. Also, students will practice 21st-century skills by collaborating on solving problems, communicating by sharing ideas, and creativity by designing their own robots. My students would be fully engaged on robotics after they have the fun hands-on experience of interacting with robotic Cubelets.
