Our students have shown great interest in learning how water changes to its different forms. We want to explore how water changes states. As we are entering winter they are seeing snow and icicles form, freeze and melt . We want to give them the language to discuss and deeper understand the concepts. Due to the fact they are living in low income and high needs community, our students have limited access to resources that will extend and enhance their learning of these concepts. Our school is a STEM school meaning we focus on exploring science, Technology, Engineering, and Math but we need more resources like the states of matter books and the learning kit to help us explore the concepts with them. Our students are even curious about how the water cycle is completed. We are now studying the changing of water from different states of gas to liquid to solid.
