Whether providing speech and language therapy services face-to-face or virtually, the opportunity to use technology to expand on student speech and language skills in an engaging way is extremely important. With the flexibility that an Apple iPad offers, I will be able to offer my students the opportunity to engage in speech and language therapy and target their specific communication needs. Speech and language skills are critical for all students in an educational setting, regardless of their mode of communication! An Apple iPad will allow me to provide applications for all students, including articulation therapy, alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) systems, and a variety of receptive and expressive language skills. These applications would be even more effective and accessible when paired with an Apple Pencil.
