Our Broadcasting class puts out the weekly video announcements (aka the school news). Students will use these iPads to record video segments for their school news broadcast and then use the iMovie app to edit the videos. Right now, we have to rely solely on students using their own cellphones (if they happen to have an Apple one) to record the segments, and this doesn't always go well. We only have one Flipcamera for filming (shared among 5 groups), but it is very outdated and has really poor sound quality. These iPads would make the broadcasts more creative and professional because they'd give us a better quality video, along with the ability to edit the video right on the iPad itself. Students would be able to more efficiently accomplish their tasks.
