I teach at an under-performing rural Alaskan school where access to interesting materials is difficult and funding is sparse. Having some pre-made materials will be helpful as currently, I develop the majority of the material that is used by me, which is time-consuming. These materials will be used with a variety of special needs students with disabilities from autism to unspecified learning disabilities, to increase their skill sets to help them be better prepared for the general education classroom. Many of my students are non-verbal and are struggling to sit in their seats. My classroom strives to support the students as they use materials to develop skills such as following directions, numeracy, literacy, language development, and social interaction which are critical skills to learning and classroom participation. I appreciate your consideration.
