My students would greatly benefit from the addition of new music books to our classroom. Not only are books a great way to escape into a different reality, but they can also give us a lot of information about a topic. Topics such as music history are harder to explain to a young learner without making it visually exciting and easy to understand. Many of the books in my wishlist focus on different music genres and their history which will help my students grow in their music knowledge from all around the world. A few of the titles I know they will be excited for are the histories of hip hop, rap, pop, and country. Making connections with music they listen to at home, to where the music originated from, will open their minds to want to learn even more!
