Having a document camera will help me teach my class of 23 second-grade, virtual learners. Developmentally, it is difficult for second-grade students to grasp abstract concepts. They need visuals to understand these concepts. Having a document camera will help me demonstrate how to use math manipulatives to solve problems. I can show them what one inch looks like in comparison to an everyday object so that they can gain an understanding of these ideas without having these materials at home. A document camera would help me teach my students more effectively in every subject including reading, writing, science, and social studies.
