These books will be paramount at creating a print rich environment for my students. They will provide my students with opportunities to experience different cultures and perspectives, right in their own classroom. I strived to select books that my students could see themselves in from the collections about kindness and community. I am excited to use our books as a discussion point on social justice and community. We will also use the different author collections to compare and contrast the work and voice of award winning authors. I have made it a priority to take an interest in what my students enjoy reading about and with that careful consideration I have hand selected each item. These titles will provide my students with priceless learning opportunities for years to come and will foster a life long love of literacy that will touch the lives of hundreds of children. Each book placed in my classroom library is cherished and treated carefully and with respect so they may last years. Your investment will directly benefit the eager students of my classroom both virtually during this pandemic and in person once we return to school.
