Let me be straight forward. I could tell you how this is 100% educational, and how this will benefit students in an engaging form of learning and give them an opportunity to see things a bit differently and so on and so forth. You know, like most teachers feel they have to do to bring opportunities like this to their students while begging for the money that should already be available in education. If you know anything about me, you know that's not who I am. Here's the real stuff. I can't afford this, and even for a prior salesman like myself, this would be a hard pitch to the school. Every now and again, just once in a while, I think we need to do stuff for our students that is just for fun. Just because we like to see them smile, to have a few minutes of joy. These sets will not only give my robotics students who are not "driving" a purpose at meets by manning our booth, but also give them a fun opportunity to get out of their shells and meet other students like we are supposed to do in the spirit of coop-ertition. It could also be a good way to generate funds at fundraisers. In addition to robotics, these will be used in the classroom for students that could benefit from virtual learning in the sciences, the tech and apps for this are amazing, but again, I am not trying to sell you on this being reason number 1. That reason, reason number 1, that's just because I LOVE my students, they deserve this, and I just think this would make them happy and smile. The fact that they will socialize and learn in the process is purely icing on the cake.
