Our project:Building stamina In reading, speaking and math through stepping and pedaling movement. Second grade students are working so hard while learning in and out of the classroom. Daily they are building stamina in reading, writing, speaking and math skills. Social distancing causes mental anxiety in and out of the classroom. It is my goal to create a safely distanced, fun and exploratory environment. Normally students can move freely about the room however, with the change and necessity to socially distance movement in the classroom, this is a challenge. Students still need to move safely and this project will use 10 portable stationary desk Stamina Mini Exercise Bikes with Smooth Pedal System will enable students to move while safely maintaining social distance and build reading, writing and speaking stamina. While in a hybrid model, these units will be used in the classroom and if we are required to go to remote learning, they will be available for check out to use at home.
