The students and teachers that I serve deserve a teacher/coach who is dedicated to this profession and willing to go above and beyond. I continually teach students and other educators to reflect on their work and grow as learners and it's important for me to do the same in this profession. As an educator for 20 years, I have continually sought to improve my teaching skills in education. I have obtained a Masters in Literacy as well as Administration, which has allowed me to impact a greater number of students in my career. The National Board certification process encourages reflection on my teaching and coaching practices as a means to evolve as an educator. Setting goals and determining how to achieve the goals is something g students engage in and by observing me they will understand the value of goal setting. Focusing on an area of need and setting goals will promote academic success and growth.
