The importance of being safe in the health field and the proper utilization of safety materials, especially during our present pandemic, is crucial. These health science classroom supplies will assist our students to develop a positive & safe classroom environment while they learn standards in the health science classes. It will aid them as they learn to recognize potential health and safety hazards in health care environments. Students practice the following and will perform hands-on activities of the following: A) Safety practices employed by health science professionals and tell how they protect clients from injury and illness B) Practice standard precautions used to prevent disease in health care settings C) Practice procedures for cleansing hands, instruments, and equipment to reduce or eliminate pathogens D) Practice procedures for safely transferring linens, garments, and trash from clients' environments
