My Project Understanding the culture of others encourages compassion for our differences. Students will be reading books with cultural diversity. They will learn the experiences of other cultures to better understand those around them. This is an ELL class with students from many other parts of the world. My students will be receiving their very own copies of books that we will read in class! Once the books are completed, the students will get to keep their books and add them to their very own "Personal Library". By allowing the students to highlight, use sticky notes, and annotate in their books as they read, students will develop a deeper understanding of the text and other cultures. This project will allow students to receive up to 6 award-winning novels from a variety of literary genres!! The love of reading will make all the difference.
