These document cameras will make our lessons more engaging and allow us to ensure that every student will have access to the books and materials needed during this unprecedented time of distance learning. The document cameras will allow us to project the books, sight words, and worksheets onto our computers for virtual daily lessons. In our classroom, we use the Leveled Literacy Intervention (LLI) curriculum to meet the individual needs of our students. Unfortunately, due to the high cost of the program, we have a limited numbers of books and teaching materials that we share between two teachers and four teaching assistants. We have been sending home as many books as we can, but having a document camera for each educator will ensure that every student can read the book and be actively engaged in our LLI lessons each day.
