Our class has been through many changes since the pandemic. We have been learning virtually all school year, and not planning to return until after the new year. Though it allows us an opportunity to also be safe, virtual learning adds a damper on engagement during class and the social opportunities that being face to face allows. Virtual learning has given us the opportunity to be creative and flexible in our efforts to increase student engagement and to help foster student growth. However, my particular students struggle to use certain technology tools that will allow them to participate and engage in student learning. These students work well with having tangible items that can help keep them involved.These items will help to do just that in my classroom.
