I strive to supply new books to my students every year. As students read about different cultures, experiences, and characters, they start to understand more about the lives of others. The students might not be able to experience some of these things first-hand, but if they can read about them, they will hopefully learn to accept and even appreciate everyone around them. As students discuss the events they read about, they start to see how important it is to respect everyone -- even if they seem very different. Eventually, the students will see that individuals share more similarities than differences.

About my class
