These physical education materials will continue to increase student engagement to promote healthier lifestyles. My physical education class is an environment where my students love to run out of breathe, drink water and continue maximum effort in activities. All students are given their own equipment to use independently during structured practices, which allows them to build on skills to incorporate during recess and after school. My students have requested additional equipment that they can use during recess to practice their skills after leaving physical education class. With the lack of in-person human interaction due to the COVID pandemic my students are desperately wanting to interact with their peers through the best way they know how; by playing together. With these additional pieces of equipment, my students will be able to play with other students or work independently during recess and continue to improve physical skills and overall health. The best way to get kids active is presenting them more opportunities to move their bodies and these physical education materials will continue to help my students become healthier and develop social skills. My students have demonstrated an overwhelming curiosity for exploring physical fitness, and this project will allow them to learn more about themselves and interacting with other students.
