My students deserve to be surrounded my books. They deserve to have an amazing classroom library. I want to encourage my students to be better, to learn, to experience, and to grow through the lenses of books. That is the beauty of literature. In the world we are living in right now, books can be an outlet. They can be an escape. They can also be a source to learn and grow about world outside of themselves. They can read through character's lenses and develop characteristics of empathy. I also want to deeply improve my students literacy. The books in my classroom now are a bit outdated. By creating this library, students will be encouraged to read. They deserve new books. They deserve relevant books. They deserve books that help them soar!
