99% of our students play on instruments provided by the school district. The instruments include a factory-issued mouthpiece, which are adequate for beginners. Many of the instruments have been in the inventory for several years, and the mouthpieces are scratched and chipped from use by numerous students. The musical equipment requested will be used to help students to continue to grow musically. Beautiful tone is a prized possession of all musicians. The tone of the ensemble will blend more easily when all students in each section are using matched mouthpieces.
