We have a huge community of Spanish speakers. However, the school lacks Spanish materials for them, especially when it comes to reading. Also because our population of international students is bigger, we have a great soccer program, however, the school does not have a budget for it. As a school, our soccer program has more than 50 students a year. We have about 20 girls and 30 boys. We play year-round. We play with used soccer balls and broken goals. Not enough equipment for all of our students. Students cannot afford to pay for equipment and the school does not have a budget for us. These books and equipment will bring joy to the students as well as giving us tools to accomplish our goals in the classroom and in the field.
