My students in our International Baccalaureate school have been given the amazing opportunity to produce our school's morning announcement videos! This is a huge and exciting task that they're thrilled to begin. Why is this such an important task? IB World School students develop strong academic, social and emotional characteristics through their learning opportunities. Being an International Baccalaureate school means that we focus on some valuable skills. Encouraging students of all ages to think critically and challenge assumptions, encouraging them to think independently and drive their own learning, and be able to engage with people in an increasingly globalized, rapidly changing world. We will use these daily videos to connect with the student body and highlight these skills by sharing current events, broadcasting from places around the world using our green screen, highlighting our IB learner profiles, and spotlighting special people in our school and community. In our rapidly changing virtual world, we need the equipment to be able to keep up the with times and produce announcements that will change and positively impact our small community of learners.
