I would like to purchase a class set of baby dolls for the purpose of holding “Baby Doll Circle Time” with my students. “The goal of Baby Doll Circle Time is to enhance the quality of the relationship between caregivers and children by strengthening attachment, attunement and social play. It does this through circle time where the children interact with their baby dolls in a group setting, and through one-on-one rituals where the caregiver conducts these same interactions with each child individually.” (Bailey, 2012) The dolls I would like to purchase would be fully sanitizable and students will each have their own doll to use. I would purchase a variety of skin colors to most closely match the variety of children represented at Norman Binkley Elementary. The dolls would also need diapers, a set of clothes, and doll blankets. References Bailey, D. B. (2012). Baby Doll Circle Time: Strengthening Attachment, Attunement and Social Play. Oveido, FL: Loving Guidance, Inc.
