The requested materials will support learning and independence for my students. The Scholastic Classroom Library set will provide interest-level stories to promote the love of reading and develop comprehension from hearing books read aloud. The Scholastic Math set will provide each student their own booklet to practice functional math skills needed for independence as they get older. The Lakeshore set promotes sorting and fine motor skills that could be generalized in a job setting later in life. Functional academics are critical to the development of independence for each of my students.
