I previously taught 4th grade, so I have very little materials and supplies for my kindergarteners. I have requested lots of materials to provide my students with a hands-on learning experience. Due to the pandemic and the 2.5 months of virtual learning we did, which was a very inequitable experience for many of my students, these amazing kindergarteners need lots of time with manipulative in their hands and practice with basic phonics skills, in order to help them be successful! Additionally, I have several students with disabilities and ACEs, who would greatly benefit for individualized visuals, timers, and alternative seating. We are striving to be an anti-racist, culturally responsive, and welcoming classroom for all. These supplies would allow me to provide them with the learning that is needed, which will carry them through life.
