Technology is used with our math curricula to motivate students, in addition to, enhancing their skills. Our program helps my students “mathematize” and learn in a variety of ways. Most importantly the software provides activities at the appropriate level of the learning trajectory for each student. My students have shown comfort and confidence in using technology. They can follow pictorial directions and use situational and visual cues to understand and think about the activity. Our curricula combined with technology has the following advantages combines visual displays, animated graphics/speech, and feedback. Technology is definitely beneficial for my preschoolers. The program is a user-friendly application with an immediate response time. Using an iPad, in comparison to other devices will also benefit students who have no technology at home to extend learning. Through the utilization of an iPad, students will be able to enhance in all goal areas of our math curricula.
