We are in desperate need of lamination, Velcro and tape so our special learners can be independent. We laminate everything to keep it durable and usable without having to recreate items each time for each student. The lamination and Velcro is used to create independent schedules. The tape is used to color code. We color code items for each students or based on the activity. For example, the reading table is red and all of the corresponding items are in red containers so our students can easily identify where items go and which items go together. My teaching teams aim to make learning specialized based on the needs of each student. To make this possible, we laminate the books we read in whole group and have pictures they can manipulate to better understand the characters, setting and story elements.
