Help me give my students the best Distance Learning experience possible. Distance Learning has been a real struggle for students, parents and teachers. Keeping kids engaged in Google Meets can be difficult, and this is where I can work through problems so kids can see/ watch/interact/learn. Through another program I can give each student their own board to do examples on. However, When I'm presenting on my screen ( in order to work through math problem kids can see), I can not 'see" the students in the meet, the boards they are writing on or read the comments /questions they may be adding to/ typing in the chat. Having a second monitor will allow me to "see" the kids as well as the boards they are working on, and any questions they may have in the comment board. Another bonus— I can call on kids by name! Unfortunately with them at home, I’m not getting to make as many personal connections. The extra monitor will allow me to better put names/faces/voices together On a more personal note, Sitting all day in front of a computer screen is also difficult for any teacher, we are used to being up and moving around the room. Having a desk riser will Allow me to stand often which will keep me healthier so I can be there for my students.
