Since we have started school 100% virtual this year, I want to send the students messages of encouragement and achievement in the mail. By sending them messages at home, I hope to motivate them to continue working hard and try their best though we cannot be together in person. They want to know they are doing it right and most just need to hear it from others that everything is okay. These postcards will be sent home weekly to students who are trying their best and showing the potential they have, not just students with good academic grades. The smallest gifts are those that tell the students that we, the teachers, do still care about them even though we are remote learning and not physically in the classroom. They want to hear from us and I want to be able to send them little surprises in the mail addressed directly to them!
