The use of dry erase boards and markers in a classroom is an integral part of teaching and learning! They are used when working collaboratively in groups so that I can quickly gauge the thinking of my learners and provide prompt feedback and address any misconceptions. Whiteboards also increase student engagement, allow for quick assessments, and erase easily if a mistake is made. Right now, my students are without boards and use dry erase markers to write directly on their desks. While this system works, it is definitely not the most efficient method. It is also sometimes difficult to get the marker off of the desk and requires some extra scrubbing. Obtaining the whiteboards and markers would be a game changer in my 3rd grade classroom! I appreciate your consideration of my project.
