My 7th grade students will be reading the classic novel The Outsiders. I have been teaching this book for years, and, despite the fact that it is over 50 years old, students continue to fall in love with this book and develop meaningful connections to the characters and themes. As they learn through a screen this year, we are working hard to make sure that students still have physical copies of the books. Unfortunately, we no longer have enough copies for each student. It is incredibly helpful for each student to have a physical book in their hands not only so they can stay caught up on their reading, but also so they can do their best on assignments that will help them practice crucial reading and writing skills as well as understand the text on a deeper level.
