I choose STEM projects and escape room activities to motivate these at-risk students. Creative resources would help my students better understand concepts while motivating them to do their work and learn social skills. Challenging activities, such as STEM projects and escape room activities give them the platform to learn, enjoy, and develop into productive and cooperative members of the community. STEM challenges allow them to construct, measure, and design, all while working in teams and developing cooperation skills. I love teaching these children and watching them further their understanding of social norms while learning mathematical and scientific content.
