As a teacher of visual arts in a conservatory with the stated goal of preparing students for professional practice in the visual arts, I want to give all of my students experience in the tools and materials of professional artists. Learning how to use small brushes for detail work, mixing paint in a pallet, and creating smooth canvas surfaces with sandpaper is key to building a professional practice in visual art. Additionally, containers with lids can be used for students to take home acrylic paint so that their education can continue from home during our hybrid pandemic schedule.
