PGHS has a robust music program composed of multiple instrumental programs. While we have wonderful community support, it can sometimes be a challenge to get our students all of the supplies they need and deserve. Concert Band can especially be quite expensive, but the importance of good instruments cannot be overstated! The 4 Valve Euphonium will be used in all our music programs. The Marching Band, Concert Band and Wind Ensemble will benefit from this new instrument. It bridges the gap of sound between the high and low brass. It is typically more expensive than smaller instruments (flutes, clarinets, trumpets) and students rarely have their own so the school must provide. It is a versatile instrument that reads in both bass and treble clef, so it gives trumpet, tuba, and trombone students another opportunity to fill out the lower section of sound in the band.
