Right now, my students are using bulletin board paper and letter cutouts as the background for their newscast. I am making this project to request a backdrop support system with black, white, and green backdrops, a photography umbrella lighting kit, and a softbox continuous lighting kit. With these backdrops and lights, my students would have an actual studio where they would be able to produce their newscast. Over the past few years, I have watched my students create a really special school-wide program, and I know that this equipment would really take them to the next level of this experience. My school is currently open to all students all five days of the week, and we are taking extra precautions to keep everyone safe, but the show must go on. Hopefully within our next few episodes, we will have some shiny new equipment to bring out the color in our masks!
