Every student should have a chance to own a personal musical instrument. As we read "Echo" by Pam Munoz Ryan, students will learn how music can help us connect to hope in dark times. We will journey with the destiny of a harmonica through Nazi Germany, to the Great Depression in rural America, to a Japanese Internment Camp, and finally to the battlefield in Europe. By giving to our project, you will make it possible for every student to own their own harmonica and experience the magic of music-making for themselves.

About my class
