This year with all of the COVID restrictions I went from teaching music in my classroom to traveling to the student's classroom with a cart. With being in their classroom brings about new challenges and to get my 4th and 5th grade students excited to learn music this year I want to purchase a class set of Soprano Ukuleles. Learning the Ukulele will give the students an opportunity to learn a new instrument that they will miss by not being able to follow the yearly tradition of playing the recorder. Every year my 4th and 5th graders look forward to learning how to play the recorder! This year they are unable to learn the recorder due to COVID-19 restrictions in schools. By bringing in the Ukulele's they will not only learn certain music standards that they don't usually get to learn but also the ukuleles are the perfect fit for their small hands. The chords are much easier to play on the ukulele than the guitar.
