It is challenging to build class sets of newly published, high interest, diverse, and engaging novels for students. My goal is to create a class set of one such novel: A Song of Wraiths and Ruin by Roseanne A. Brown. With these books, my students will read and engage with a common story, participate in small group discussions, and respond in writing to foster learning and collaboration. Working together to understand plot elements and themes, I will be able to encourage a love of reading and learning in my students.

About my class
