We are always looking for ways to help keep our students motivated to learn. The honest truth is nothing motivates my students more than candy. Our fourth and fifth graders will work so hard in my classroom in hopes to receive a small piece of candy at the end of class. Since I have been using candy as motivation, my students are much more focused and excited to learn. Obviously, the goal is always to have my students be intrinsically motivated but until my students reach that point, I am desperately in need of candy to help keep them motivated. I want to keep them engaged throughout this entire school year and am requesting new candy to keep them motivated.
