We will be making visual symbol cards to aid in student learning, as well as protecting their brilliant artwork. My students will be able to participate in the process of choosing icons for their communications boards. For students with disabilities, this provides choice to spark cognitive response and helps to express how they are feeling. We will incorporate symbols such as different art tools, emojis, yes/no, and famous artists along with their works of art. The lamination is essential and allows for an easy wipe clean surface to prevent the spread of germs.
