Communicating and relating to others is an important component when learning new skills in PE. It can be difficult to express understanding of certain activities for students with Autism and/or students with hearing and visual deficits. All students need to feel as if they can relate and communicate with their teachers. Having an iPad to hold conversations with others will enhance not only their communication skills but their self-esteem as well. There are apps available through Apple that will allow our students the opportunity to communicate with their teachers and others. The Ocean drum and gloves will be so much fun and encourage my students to move and participate during our Adapted PE sessions.
