Using the Apple iPad and the Apple Pencil will allow me to transform teaching math through a computer screen to a new level. Many of my students are ESL, and need visuals and manipulatives to help them learn. Using a normal computer to demonstrate the manipulatives and online drawing resources limits my teaching capabilities. Being able to present my screen from the iPad and use the Apple Pencil to move and draw manipulatives will create a better learning experience for my students. My students will be able to see how to solve a math problem through my screen and then try on their own through their screen. By using the iPad and Pencil, I can create more interactive manipulative pages for my students to practice the math concepts independently.
