I am so excited to tell you all what we will be using to enhance learning in two of my Career and Technology Education classes for teen parents and AVID students. The Developing Child. This class focuses on prenatal through the child's 2nd year. One of the resources are baby dolls. Yes, some of my students have infants, but many are pregnant, have older children or are students who are not pregnant or parenting. These dolls will be used to practice infant routine skills from changing diapers to bottle feeding. They will be also used as I teach skills that will build attachment, security and safe sleep practices for caregivers and parents. The brand new book, "The Bottom Line for Baby," by Tina Payne Bryson gives our students and parents the most up-to-date, science-based information for infants and toddlers. Intro to Education. This class gives an overview on what it means to be an educator. We will be reading, Ryan Reynold's book, "Look Both Ways." The children's books by Mo Willems are for all students to practice reading out loud to children. Thank you ahead of time for considering my amazing students!
