We received the word that students are finally returning to school in mid-October! How exciting! Being a first year teacher, I had envisioned my classroom a certain way where students are collaborating within groups and working with hands on manipulatives. However, with social distancing guidelines in place, I have the opportunity to discover a way to incorporate my vision while still keeping students 6 feet a part in a traditional room (This gets a little tricky with the size and structure of a desk with the size of classroom.) Students need that openness and comfort within a classroom now more than ever which is why I want to incorporate all of these flexible seating options. The seating structure will allow students to be distanced yet not separated by a desk. There will be an open atmosphere that will promote student engagement and sense of security and belonging in the classroom! Please consider donating to the cause. We really appreciate it!
