The materials we have chosen will mostly be used in our virtual learning videos for the children. We will use the math materials to model counting, quantifying, and connecting numerals with their quantities. As always books are a classroom favorite. Daily we read aloud for the in-person and online students. Books are a great source for language and literacy skills. The art supplies that we requested will also be used in-person and for our online students. Weekly we deliver materials to our families so their children can perform the "homework" tasks. Being a non-profit program for low-income families can make it challenging to ensure the children have all of the materials they need: we provide these materials for them and sometimes funding is not there to bring new and exciting materials to their homes and the classrooms.
