Building a social/emotional toolbox for students is something that will help them successfully navigate everyday challenges at school and at home. Items such as bubbles or pinwheels help students to learn to take deep breaths when they are feeling big emotions. Sensory toys help students to be able to refocus anxiety, fear, or other big emotions by helping them to focus on what is happening right now. Learning how to stop big emotions from taking control will help students adapt and overcome when hard things happen in their lives. Funding this project will allow students to be rewarded for using the skills they have worked hard to learn and have been practicing.
