In middle school, students are in a transition period in their reading level and book choice. While some want to read large and challenging fiction books, others are drawn to graphic novels. Graphic novels are engaging, creative, thought-provoking, and fun. Unfortunately, the shelves containing the graphic novels in my school library are nearly bare. We need your help to fill those shelves. Students LOVE graphic novels. By purchasing more graphic novels, we can help students that may think they don't like to read find interesting and unintimidating books that will turn them into voracious readers and encourage them to choose more challenging books in the future. We would also like to add STEM items to our Makerspace that will create an engaging and welcoming environment for these young students.
