The playdough will be used daily. Students need something in their hands while sitting to watch videos, listening to their classmates speak or creating video responses. The playdough can be used to stimulate their thinking, keep their hands engaged as well as to respond to questions. I selected a variety of games that I will be able to utilize during whole and small group class meets, like bingo, to help them learn and reinforce foundational skills like letters and sounds. I also selected some great magnetic displays to use during lessons. I know there are digital options, but I like them to see me using my hands and manipulating the pieces. We need plenty of books for read alouds. I need to build an appropriate class library for k5, as I am not traditionally working with k5. I was reassigned due to distance learning.
